  30. Well I heard mention, that having the XL (Actually, I think it was the
  31. Dell type) too close to the monitor can cause r/w errors.  Mine has been
  32. suffering that for ages.  Today I installed some 60ns RAM and decided to
  33. resite the XL HD floppy away from the monitor when rebuilding
  34. everything...  And it now appears that I can formate HD disks in my
  35. external again, yippeee!!!  (Of course, it could all be a fluke!)
